Activity Level Guide
We've created an activity level guide for all of our itineraries, so you can easily decide which holiday will suit you best.
Level 1 - Easy
This is an easy paced itinerary combining excursions at a relaxed pace with plenty of leisure/free time. Where excursions are included they may include climbing steps/stairs, walking over primarily level ground interspersed with periods of standing.

This is a leisurely paced itinerary and is full of cultural and interesting sightseeing and some free days to relax. Some excursion days may include reasonably early starts, some longer coach travel and possibly walking over uneven terrain. Guests should have reasonable health and mobility.
Level 3 - Moderate
This is a moderately paced itinerary that involves some longer days and more activities. Expect some early hotel departures, and limited time for day time rest and rejuvenation as the itineraries are designed to ensure that you see as much as possible in these wonderful destinations. This may include longer coach journeys and guests should be able to join a walking tour lasting 2 - 4 hours with stops possibly over uneven terrain. Guests should have reasonable health and mobility and be comfortable with standing for long periods of time with no difficulty.
Level 4 - Busy
This is a consistently robust itinerary that is likely to be filled with a combination of long, active days, several early hotel departures and some long journeys by coach. There may be limited time for rest and rejuvenation as you explore these amazing destinations. Alternatively, it could include concentrated periods of more strenuous physical activity e.g. Yoga. Guests should be capable of walking 5 to 10 km at a time over potentially difficult, uneven terrain which may include hills. Guests should have the appropriate levels of ability, fitness and good health to safely enjoy the holiday.
